The image for the digital student ID has the same requirements as a passphoto:
- The background must be white or nautral
- The face should fill 70-80% of the total image
- The image must show the entire head
- The face must be imaged directly from the front
- You must look into the camera lens
- The eyes should be open, clearly visible and not covered by hair
- Headgear is not allowed, with the exception of religious headgear
- Sunglasses are not allowed
- Ordinary glasses are allowed, but avoid reflection in the glasses
- The image must have sharp focus and good contrast
- It is not allowed to use filters from apps and the like
The image may be deleted and you are responsible for uploading the image that follows the guidelines.

How to add a photo to the student ID?
- Go to the Self-Service Portal
- Select Change image
- Click Choose image to select the image you want to upload
- Click the Upload button
Is the image used for something else?
- The image is used for the Digital student ID app (fellesstudentsystem.no)
- The image is transferred to the study administration system FS, Studentweb and Fagpersonweb.
- Case officers at the Study Office have access to FS.
- You as a student have access to your information in Studentweb.
- Teachers have access to see information about students enrolled in their courses.
