LOG904-109 Measuring and Managing Performance in Shipping, Logistics and Supply Chains (Autumn 2021)

About the course

The course provides a practical approach to the measurement and management of performance in shipping, logistics and supply chains. The importance of performance management in the shipping and supply chains is discussed. The course introduces the balanced scorecard to develop a comprehensive performance management system. Relevant case studies facilitate the application of the balanced scorecard together with the exposition of several Key Performance Indicators that are used in measuring and managing performance. Topics covered: Challnges in performance management in shipping, logistics and supply chains; the balanced scorecard performance management framework, strategy maps development, key performance indicators, case studies in shipping, logistics and supply chains.
