LOG715 Business Cases in SCM (Spring 2020)
About the course
The course will mainly consist of 3 cases taken from or presented by specific firms or public organizations. The students may work in small groups (no more than 2 students per group) or individually. The students will write and submit an assignment for each of the three cases. The assignments are written analyses of the logistical problem and should indicate solutions to the problem. The business cases will vary from one year to another. The students are sometimes expected to collect real life data when feasible and relevant to the presented business cases

Recommended requirements
LOG 711 Supply Chain Management 1 or equivalent course. The course is open for master students in logistics only.
The student's learning outcomes after completing the course
The objective is to give the students an opportunity to study and discuss specific firms and their logistical problems. The students will after the course have knowledge on solving business problems by applying theory to practical issues.
Forms of teaching and learning
Presentation of the cases are arranged as one-day seminars. One week after the seminar the students attend in a question session for the case, where they have prepared questions for the company representative. The cases will vary from one year to the next. Depending of the subject in the case, there will also be organized day-seminars which are connected to the cases
