LOG904-117 Business Intelligence with SAP (Autumn 2020)
About the course
Companies capture, generate and store a vast amount of data in their enterprise data systems. With the help of Business Intelligence this vast data can be analysed to provide valuable input to decision-making. Business Intelligence involves data preparation by data modelling, loading, cleaning and storage. Then data analysis and reporting are done based on the prepared data. The analysis part use mathematical models in statistics and operations research to extract useful knowledge. You will use the SAP Business Intelligence (SAP BI) software to analyse a real dataset and write a report summarizing what you did and what your main results are. The data will be given as Excel-files. You will prepare the data and upload them into a special purpose SAP database called an INFOCUBE. Then intelligence is used to analyse the results, i.e. a pre-installed mathematical model in SAP BI is used to analyse the data and generate a report.
Topics covered: Data preparation for SAP BI, Data modelling into INFOCUBE, and Analysis by SAP BI
