LOG904-156 Analytics and the Digital in Supply Chain (Autumn 2020)

About the course

This course focus on how we apply capabilities around Big Data, Data Visualization, Analytics (statistics, mathematics) and Machince Learning on Supply Chain & Operations. It will look at how this affects the dimensions of Intelligence (decision making) and Automation (towards artificial intelligence). It will also look at how companies implement such capabilities organizationally. We will also discuss how the Automation (Artificial Intelligence) approaches affects the role of the human. The course will be a “pragmatic” journey where we will not focus too much on the theory but rather go in from a business angle and see how the new capabilitiea provides solutinos to challenges as well as open up for new opportunities

Forms of teaching and learning

Morning lectures. Exercises/case studies for self study. Friday group exame presentation where each group would present a data based roadmap .
