IBE110 Information Technology (Autumn 2019)

About the course

This course gives an overview of the information technology field. It will make the students see new possibilities with IT. The main part of the learning is case-based, and the examples are current uses of applications.A main focus is how to use technology correctly, and not just simply copying previous users' solutions. The student will gain understanding in current development trends.

The student's learning outcomes after completing the course

After completing the course, the successful student should:

  • Have a holistic understanding of information technology

  • Understand the possibilities and limitations of the technology

  • See where and how technology can be applied

  • Could lead and manage the purchase of software and computer equipment and evaluate alternative solutions to build IT infrastructures.

All course materials is avaliable online, in various forms.
Campus studens will have 4-6 hours weekly lectures. Online assistence for assesments are provided for campus and online students.
