The Tanzanian project participants have had the chance to try different new activities during their stay in Norway. One Sunday in December they visited the farm Eriklia in Eide.

Time has come for summary, evaluation and preparation to go back to Tanzania after exchange. This weekend we had a ‘homecoming seminar’ in Bergen, focusing questions like: How did we do? What did we learn? What challenges may agents of change meet when back in Tanzania, when ready to their local change agent’ plans into action?

My name is Reward Mrindoko Elikaza. I married to Naamin Ngwatu and we have been blessed by God with a daughter. I was born in Mweteni village in Kilimanjaro Region 30 years ago, where I grew up with my parents who are farmers. I finished primary school in 2003, at Ntambwe Primary school, and in 2007 I finished secondary school at Kigango Secondary school. After finishing college in 2011, I was in 2012 employed as a teacher at Singachini Primary School by Moshi District Council.

My name is Theresia Makiya, I am 30 years old and I have five years’ experience as a teacher for pupils with non-disabilities. I work at Mpola primary school, but the last 1,5 years I have been a student at Patandi Teacher’s College of special needs to acquire the knowledge on how to teach and care for the pupils with disabilities in hearing impairment, by using sign language or body language. This fall I have been a member of NOREC project at Molde University College, to improve the life quality of children and people with disabilities in Tanzania and Norway, by implementing UN rights (CRC and CRPD).

Thursday the Norec-exchange students were at Tøndergård School. They were warmly welcomed by teachers; Kari, Julianne, Unni and Anne Brit who had prepared an 3 hour communication-themed workshop.

I am Effery Anderson Mzumbwe. I am 34 years old and from Sumbawanga  in Rukwa Region in Tanzania. I am a teacher at Mkamba primary school, and a student in special education at Patandi Teachers College in Arusha. This Autumn I take part in the Norec project in Molde.

My name is Elia Peter Mgao. I am 29 years old, a Tanzanian, born in Iringa region and currently a student Teacher in special needs Education. I have been working as a teacher for children with no disabilities, for four years. In Usangi primary school found in KALIUA district in Tabora region, I am  motivated to help children and all persons with special needs and any kind of disabilities.

It is challenging and evolving for all regardless to beginners and advanced climbers. The students from Tanzania and Norway has been climbing in the local climbing wall, Moldeveggen. They tried nice climbing routs at different level.

Thursday 31 October, on Halloween, the NOREC project visited Tøndergård school and recourse centre. Tøndergård is a special need education boarding school for pupils from 8-20 years. About half of the 50 pupils are living at the school.

Students from Molde University College, the local  department of the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports and The Norwegian Trekking Association (in short DNT) where hosts this evening.
